Quickstart

This walkthrough takes about ten minutes and covers the path from a fresh account to a graphic on-air.

1. Sign up

Navigate to app.lumora.live and create an account. Make sure to verify your email to gain access to the site.

2. Create a workspace

A workspace is the top-level container for everything you'll build: graphics, rundowns, channels, members. Create your first workspace and give it a name, URL identifier and pick a subscription plan.

On completion, you'll be presented with the management page for your new workspace where you can invite members, change your plan details and view usage limits.

3. Open the control panel

Click "Open control panel" on the top right of your workspace management page. Here is where the magic happens. The main areas of your control panel:

  • Graphics rundown (left): every graphics instance you've added to the selected rundown.
  • Preview and output windows (top): a preview of your currently selected graphic and your selected output channel.
  • Graphic control form (bottom): control elements of your selected graphic.

4. Upload your first template

Download the tutorial OGraf template here. Save the .zip file somewhere on your PC, no need to extract it.

Click "Assets" at the top of your page and open the "User Templates" tab. Upload l3rd-name.zip. Once it's processed, you'll see it as an available user template.

Let's add the graphic to our rundown. Close the assets window and either click the + Graphic button or right click on the rundown background and select Add Graphic.

Select "Lower 3rd - Name", give it a name and accent clour and press Add Graphic.

Use the green playout button under the preview window to trigger the in-animation for your graphic. Press it again to run the out-animation and remove it from the output channel.

Hotkeys

Use & to navigate through your graphics list.

Use Numpad Enter & Numpad + to take your graphics on air and Numpad - to take them off.

Where to go next

  • Templates: upload your own graphics or buy from the template library.
  • Rundowns: build a scripted ordered list and walk through it during a show.
  • Automation: auto-take, auto-out timers, channel locks.
  • Server API: trigger graphics from external systems.
